Information and advice on the current swine flu situation is available for Massachusetts residents by calling 211. This number will be utilized as a 24/7 resource for human service and Public Safety/disaster response and planning agencies. This service offers translators for a variety of languages. Credentialing

Massachusetts MRC Volunteer Minimum Credentialing Standards 1

(as of 7/27/06)

  1. License check for all professionals to establish currency and good standing
  2. Personal picture ID for all - Drivers license, etc.
  3. CORI permission form signed by volunteer
  4. CORI check
  5. Record of any certification that new volunteers may already have (i.e., First Aid, ICS, special licenses)
  6. National Sex Offender Registry check (http://www.nsopr.gov/)
